We hosted a Halloween party the other night for Jason's senior English majors. As you can see, we kept things fairly simple by just wearing Jack-o-lantern shirts and donning cat-masks. In the past in China we've gone to great lengths to prepare homemade costumes: she a rabbit, he a carrot; she a mouse, he a block of cheese. The Hardins were also able to make the scene - all five of them in costume. [I'll let them put something up when they get a chance.] The kids, of course, were a smash hit with the party crowd.
Speaking of which, they (the students, I mean) did a great job, too, of getting costumes together, preparing and helping decorate, bringing food and drinks, and cleaning things up afterward. There were all kinds of costumes - scary ones seemed to be most popular, though.
When I get a little time a will try to put together a slide show on here for all of you to see. [This picture was taken and e-mailed to us by a student; we've still not loaded our own shots from the camera to the computer.] It was great fun!
