Clarks: I've stalled long enough

Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening. This is Jason.
It seems like forever since I last wrote something. In fact, I know it's been quite a while b/c last time I was complaining about the heat and seemingly-endless days of summer. Now though, it's been nice fall weather for, like, a couple weeks or so!
So why the delay?
Well, I was waiting for Cec to write something; that's the main reason. And then, even after she'd written, there's just been so much going on. It's like, I have this great story to tell, but before I have a chance to sit down and type it out, another story unfolds right before our eyes, so then I'm too busy to write, plus I've got this other story, then before you know it...
For example: the story about how we met those people Cecely mentioned (who the guy likes music a lot and the lady studies yoga)... great story, full of irony and providencial turns of event, with a funny and surprising plot twist mid-way through...
But who has time to tell about it when the next day your out riding the electric bike and lose power miles from home, having to push all the way back -- b/c also... (not that you've mentioned it, not having time to write anything) ...the chain is broken and missing, lost somewhere between Elaine's house and home -- ?
And even if, after getting home exhausted from pushing this 50-lb. bike about as far as, say, from the old building on Cloverdale all the way to the new CC building... I say, even if I had the strength and willpower to sit and the computer and re-tell the saga in all its glorious and (to be sure) humourous detail... I would not have been able to do so b/c, by that time, the cat had come down with a raging case of "feline infectous rhinotracheale" and had to be rushed to the vet for an intense round of examinations, including but not limited to stool and blood tests, stethoscopic observation, followed by 5 days of injections and oral antibiotic treatments.
So you can see, I haven't been slacking off, just busy.
And besides, most of my computer time is spent on ChinesePod.com learning and reviewing several Chinese language and culture lessons per day. I think I have something like 120+ new vocabulary flashcards in the current rotation.
That, and following the presidential race.
And wishing I could watch the new season of The Office.
But alas...
